| Events2009-2010 Poetry Series  Date: September 21, 2009 to April 22, 2010 The School of Arts and Humanities and the Kingsley & Kate Tufts Poetry Awards proudly present the 2009-2010 Poetry Series, culminating in the presentation of the 2010 Kingsley Tufts Poetry Award and the 2010 Kate Tufts Discovery Award at Boston Court in Pasadena.
Exhibition Tour & Reception at the Huntington Library & Botanic Gardens Date: November 15, 2009 2:00 PM  Join Interim President Joseph C. Hough for a lecture, reception and exhibition tour at Pasadena's world-renowned Huntington Library and Botanic Gardens. Professor of English and History Lori Anne Ferrell will speak about her research at the Huntington, and alumni will enjoy a tour of the "American Art" exhibition, featuring work by famed MFA alumnus Karl Benjamin.   Major General William A. Cohen, MA, Executive Management, 1978; PhD, 1979, was the recipient of the 2009 Distinguished Alumnus Service Award, and Professor Gail L. Thompson, MA, Education, 1987; PhD, 1998, was honored with the 2009 Distinguished Alumna Award as part of Claremont Graduate University's 82nd Annual Commencement festivities.
