CGU Celebrates Inaugural Alumni Day


On Saturday, April 26, 2008, more than 120 alumni, students, faculty, and friends gathered for CGU's Inaugural Alumni Day, a day of celebration, reunion, and great conversation featuring keynote speaker Jim Newton, Editorial Page Editor of the L.A. Times, and more.

2008 Alumni Award Recipients to be Honored at 81st Commencement Ceremony

Earl H. Maize (M.A., Mathematics, 1977; Ph.D., Mathematics, 1981) is one of the nation’s most distinguished leaders and innovators in the space exploration industry. He has worked at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory for the last 25 years, and has dedicated his life and career to expanding our knowledge of the universe.




Deepak Shimkhada (Ph.D., Education, 2001) is a loyal alumnus and dedicated member of the Board of Visitors of the School of Religion at Claremont Graduate University, where he also serves as Adjunct Professor. As Founding Chair of the School’s Foundation for Indic Philosophy and Culture, he has been instrumental in leading efforts to support the Foundation and a Chair in Indic Studies at CGU.


CGU's New Graduate Housing to Open in August

In August, CGU will open new graduate student housing, a five-building apartment complex North of Foothill Boulevard.
